At Résidence Eden Ecolodge, electricity is available 24 hours a day, produced by our own solar panel and wind turbine energy system.
The Residence EDEN Ecolodge
Located 25 km south of the city of Tuléar, between the fishing village of Sarodrano and the village of Saint Augustin, Résidence Eden is an eco-lodge set in an exceptional and beautifully decorated environment.
Overlooking an immaculate white sand beach and accompanied by the soothing sound of the waves, it offers the pleasure of comfort without excess, in a truly unique natural setting.
As the hotel is located near the village of Sarodrano — a Vezo fishing village — you will have the opportunity, during one of our excursions, to immerse yourself in the daily life of the local fishermen. From our terraces, while enjoying your breakfast, you can also watch the fishermen coming and going in their traditional sailing pirogues.
Staying at Résidence Eden Ecolodge is an extraordinary experience, where you can savor fresh, locally sourced cuisine designed to delight your taste buds. It is also a true paradise for board sports enthusiasts (surfing, kitesurfing, and paragliding), set against a backdrop of breathtaking landscapes. Our warm and welcoming team is at your service to ensure you enjoy an unforgettable life experience.
Eco-tourisme concept
The Tsinjoriake Protected Area
Résidence Eden Ecolodge is located in the heart of the Tsinjoriake Protected Area (“the protected area that faces the sea”)
The Tsinjoriake Protected Area lies about fifteen kilometers south of the city of Tuléar and stretches as far as the Bay of Saint Augustin. With its remarkable spiny forest vegetation composed of rich succulent plants and numerous medicinal species, it is internationally renowned for its exceptional birdlife. The area is home to 83 bird species, including the Red-shouldered Vanga, as well as seven other endemic species found nowhere else.
Staying at Résidence Eden Ecolodge also means enjoying high-quality accommodations built in full compliance with genuine ecolodge standards. The ecolodge concept is more than just an idea — it represents a true way of life and a responsible approach to preserving and respecting the surrounding environment.
An economically sustainable tourist facility
Beyond its definition, an ecolodge is a type of accommodation designed to host tourists; it aims to be both an economically viable tourist facility and an infrastructure that integrates into its natural environment. Its goal is to minimize as much as possible the negative impacts of tourism on the environment.
You and we are the guardians of this magnificent Protected Area, and we thank you for respecting the ecolodge’s guidelines.
Thanks to an NGO, the village of Sarodrano — which means “without water” or “difficult water” — now benefits from a water supply system that provides fresh water to both the villagers of Sarodrano and Résidence Eden Ecolodge. Fresh water is a rare and costly resource, essential to daily life ; therefore, we kindly ask our valued guests to use it responsibly and avoid wasting it.
